A Sydney judge has been told he shouldn't believe the "claimed amnesia" of a teenager who slashed a man's face during a "calculated and savage attack clearly intended to maim and disfigure".
Brett Halcro was set upon by a group of young people who'd been partying in a holiday rental, in the inner-city suburb of Pyrmont, in late July last year.
The 37-year-old was beaten unconscious before one of the attackers, then aged 16, used a small knife to cut his face and pierce his right eye.
